This guide helps the reader get knowledge about displays and gives more insight of the roles - 

  • User / Super user / Admin)

their access to the different functionalities in the Breece Cloud. 


Displays 

User, super user, and Admin has the same access to this functionality.


  • Click on the display icon,

open the list of displays in the installation.

  • Right click on the 'Serial number', 

here shows the different options, like shown in the screenshot below.


A. Assignment: This function allows to assign/add a product to the display

  1. Click on Assignment. This action opens a new page titled Displays/Display Assignments (Batch).

  2. On this page, you can assign a new product to a display.

  3. Select a layout from the dropdown list. The available layouts are those activated in System Configuration (accessible via the wrench icon).

  4. Click Add to complete the assignment.


Preview: Check the preview (in green), which shows Product Number and Product Description.


Assign history:

This function shows the history of what and when the different products are assigned to the particular display

  • Right Click on Assign History
  • Select  assign history
  • Opens a new page with the history of the particular display, where you can see the following information:


Queue History: 

This function helps to view the history of the different jobs attempted on the particular display 

  • Right-click on Queue  History.

Opens a new page with all the history of that particular display 



Placement: This number describes the position of the products assigned to the display. 

This is used when a display can have multiple products assigned.





D. Set Position:

 This function helps to set the position (Floor/Rack/Room) of a display.


There may occur 2 scenarios here:

1.  If there exists a plan already and it is connected to an Installation, then plan will be shown.

Then you can set a position of the display where exactly you want it to be.

2. If there is no plan existing on the installation, please follow this Helpdesk : Breece - plans


E. Show Position : 

This function helps to show the exact position (Racks/shelves/on the tables) of a display.


  • Click on the Function

Shows position exactly where you have set the position of the display(s).



Reconfigure Display(s): 

This function helps to reconfigure the displayThis is used when a display fails to add to a system.

Please note that this will delete the displays from system and attempt to add it again. This with caution.


  • Click on the Function.

A new message that display is reconfigured with success.


Force Update : 

This function will send the same data/image to the displays, as is already assigned. 


  • Click on the Function,

A new message that display will be updated.

The display blinks while its been updates.



H.  Pings:

 The ping attempts to get the temperature and battery status from the display.

  •  Click on the Function 

A new message appears as shown below.  

I. Release :  This function unassigns the product(s) from a display.


  • Click on the Function

A new message shown below

  • Click 'OK'

The product assigned to the display will be removed.

The screenshots below gives you an overview how the display looks on the system before and after release process. 

Notice the Assigned Product field.


Before Release /Unassign:

Shows the assigned product and its description.



 After Release / Unassign:

Deletes the assigned product and its description after release.


 Flash : 

This will tell the display to flash.

Particularly helps the user to locate the display if there are for example 500 products in a shelf/room/floor.


  • Click on the Function.

A new message is shown as below.

  • Click 'OK'.

Opens a small info box with success.

The display starts flashing.


K. Delete Display(s): 

***Beware this function is not used often, as this deletes the display and its configuration from the system***.

This delete the displays and makes the display inactive /off.

Please note that displays needs to be added (configured) to the system again, before they can be used again.

  • Click Delete Display(s).

  • A confirmation message will appear on the screen, prompting the user to proceed or cancel the action.



  • Click 'OK'

Opens a small info box with success.

The display starts flashing, 

It is no longer active 

It is not in use.

2. View display batches: 


Click on the 'View display batches' .


All  the fields in the 'display batch' can be filtered.

Opens to a new page where you can find the different activities/actions run on the displays with details of the time slots as shown below: 



3. Display configuration: 

Display Configuration is used to create a job that reserves the antenna to add displays. 

This function is used when adding many displays at once.

Note: It cannot be used when there is more than one antenna on the system.

Note: All users have this function available. 


Click on the 'Display configuration'.


Opens to a new page 'Display Configuration' which show the details as shown below:



If you want to change the configuration of the displays, click on 'Create display configuration batch' in the bottom tool bar.


Opens a new window 'Create display configuration batch' where you can configure the values and click 'Save'.


RFv3 retry count: Shows the number of times the display has been configured if it has failed, the number indicates how many retry's  will be done.

RFv4 retry count: Shows the number of times the display has been configured if it has failed, the number indicates how many retry's  will be done.

Note: We recommend 1-3  and max. and 5 retries. Otherwise it may take a long time to finish the queues.

Low battery threshold: It shows the battery logo on the display if the battery is lower than 2.4. A new battery has between 2.9-3.3. It can be also set this value to 2.6.


Note : A pop-up a message in a split second showing that 'created display batch'


Manuel Property refresh:
A property job is our system (Breece) that contacts the DisplayData's antenna about specifications on the individual displays. including type, size, firmware and LUT 


Click on 'Manuel Property refresh'

Confirm by clicking 'OK'

Click 'OK' and it will start property jobs for all the displays. You can check the jobs to find the status.

Note: Only administrator have access to this function.


Add Display: This function is used to add a single display.


Click on the 'Add Display'



Opens a new window, type the serial number of the display and click 'Save' and close the window.




Before adding display: Check the box marked with 'red', shows the number of displays on the Installation.

If you want to find a display on an installation, you will look up the display's serial number instead.


After adding display:

New display has been added

  •  Status shows 'OK' which means added successfully

The display is ready to assign a product if needed. 

  • Status shows  "Failed network configuration", 

The display is not added to the system 

Must be deleted and then added again. 




New Assignment: 

A process where you can assign a display, choose a product and a layout. 

  • Right - click on the display.
  • Click on the 'New Assignment'


Opens a new window 

  • Type in the serial number of the display
  •  Press 'Enter'


There opens a new window 

  • Assign a product number to the display
  • Choose the layout from the dropdown menu
  • Click 'Add'

Choose Layout: Different layouts can be added to the displays by :

  • Go to configurations (Rench).
  • Click on definitions.
  • Choose and activate the layouts from the list
  • Choose layout under display/display assignments (Batch).
  • Click on 'Set as default'



  • Check the display page

The  product is assigned

The product description is filled

The status is 'OK'. 

The display is updated and ready for use.


 Export Filtered List:


  • Click the 'Export filtered List'

Filter displays to export. 

  • Click on the filter icon 
  • Select the display as shown below 
  • Click on 'Apply filter'



Page is refreshed.

Shows the displays based on the filter used as shown below.

  • Click on 'Export Filtered List' 

The list has been exported to download.

  • Open the file.

See the same list as an excel file.
