Purpose
Position makes it possible to give the antenna and displays a position on a map, giving the possibility for products to inherit the position when the product is assigned to the display.
Flash makes it possible to flash display via display serial number or product and makes locating antennas easier. (Use on displays with a LED attached)
Positions – what is needed?
To use position for antenna and displays, the user must upload a map refered to as a "Plan".
Click the “Positions” icon on the menu bar and click “Plans”.
Here the user uploads an image of the store plan, giving it a planname and a sorting number (sorting is used whenever a list of plans is shown).
- A list of plans could be used with multiple stories or for smaller sections of a large store.
Add sections to give more information about position (seen from above).
Via “Section overview” it is possible to add Sections (areas) to the different Plans. These sections are used to give even more information about the position on a display. Use the layers to easily administrate the sections.
Sections are added to a Plan and a layer.
The layer is only used to easily visually administrate the section.
It is possible to enable/disable layers
(and therefore show/not show the sections on it).
To add a section - select the plan (and maybe select a layer – above Layer 0 is selected) and simply drag and drop a square on the overview. Give the section a name and an identifier
(identifier is used for scan to position – where identifier could be a number from a scanned barcode).
Make sure to mark the correct layer if this is used when adding a section.
To delete a section – click on the section and click “Delete”.
To replace a section – click on the section and click “Replace”.
Select the plan and the layer and drag and drop a square. Fill in name and identifier.
Layers are used to create views for easier overview by showing and hiding selected Sections.
To create a new layer, click the ‘+’ under the /Layers heading.
You can now create Sections that will only show, while the Layer is selected.
To create a Section under the Layer, select the desired Layer – in this case, Layer (1). Notice the green box around the selected Layer.
Any Sections created while a Layer is selected will only be shown while the Layer is enabled.
Add Attributes to give more information about position.
This is very versatile and can be used differently. An example could be to implement depth to position – shelf number.
Via “Configuration” add Attributes via “New Attribute” at the bottom.
Here it is possible to choose from 3 variables.
- Text – free text.
- List – a list of predetermined options.
- Boolean – yes/no. This are the same variables used in manual fields.
The Attributes are prompted when Position is set via Breece mobile Assist.
Only the attribute values can be set here. Please note that all the Attributes must be filled when setting a position.
